
Due to cold temperatures all Olympia schools will start one hour later than normal Friday, Jan. 25.

Things are getting WILD in Mrs. Loyers class this week! It might be an arctic tundra outside, but 2nd grade is traveling to the rainforest to study the habitat’s animals, plants, and weather!



Due to the possibility of icy roadways, Olympia schools will dismiss early Wed., Jan. 23. OHS and OMS dismiss at noon; elementary schools dismiss at 12:30. All programs and activities are cancelled the rest of the day.

Due to hazardous conditions, all Olympia Schools are closed Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Fifth graders were so engaged in their genius hour research, they didn’t want to quit! So they sat down in the hallway while waiting to trade classes and got back to work!! Way to go, 5th graders! #OlySpartanPride

There will be no school on Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Kindergarten read the book Sneezy the Snowman. They each had to write a sentence about what a snowman should not do. We finished with glue and shaving cream for an art project.

5th grade students added some water color to their one word goal cards for 2019!




There will be NO ACTIVITIES taking place at Olympia North on Saturday, January 12th.

The mini cheer clinic that was scheduled for Saturday Jan. 12th has been postponed to Sunday Jan. 13th from 12 pm to 3 pm in the high school.

5th graders using green screen technology to create a news cast highlighting the benefits of an urban forest!


Friendly reminder to find those library books and put them in your child’s book bag! I have several new books ready for checkout upon our return tomorrow!


Winter Break runs December 22 - January 6. School will resume on Monday, January 7, 2019.
