Due to extreme cold wind chills that are forecasted for tomorrow morning and the high likelihood of blowing and drifting snow tonight, Olympia schools will not be in session tomorrow, Monday Jan. 26. We will be utilizing a traditional snow day, so this day will be added on to the end of the year. We will make a decision about OMS and OHS activities and athletics by noon on Monday.

Snow Day January 26
Students in Mrs. Loyer's 2nd grade class have been talking about goals and intentions as we head into 2026 and second semester. Students spent time last week thinking about one word that would describe a goal they have for the year. Students wrote about how they would show that word in all they do and together we made friendship bracelets to always remind us of our 2026 intentions!

Fourth- and fifth-grade students at Olympia North gave back this holiday season by hosting a food drive instead of exchanging gifts. Students collected non-perishable canned and boxed food items that were evenly distributed between Helping Hands in Stanford and Project Evergreen in Danvers.

This week, ONE Kindergarteners visited their 5th Grade Book Buddies for some Thanksgiving FUN! They colored Thanksgiving coloring sheets together & got to hang out with their buddies.
The Kindergarten & 5th grade classes meet once a week for Book Buddies. Sometimes the 5th graders read a few books to their buddy, sometimes they do fun activities, like this week!

Happy Thanksgiving ONE Families!

Congratulations to Iris Hawkins! She was the overall winner of The Lions Club Peace Poster Contest!

The Lions Club Peace Poster Contest is an annual art competition for students who are 11–13 years old as of November 15. Students create an original poster based on the yearly theme—this year’s theme is “Together As One.” Posters must meet specific size requirements, be the student’s own work, and include no lettering on the front. Great work, Iris!
