There will be no school November 27th-29th for Thanksgiving Break

Students worked hard today writing questions to ask ISU Student-Athletes for the Q & A session of Family Reading Night. Join us December 5 from 5 to 7 at Barnes & Noble to find out what our students asked!

All aboard the Mayflower! 2nd graders are boarding the Mayflower and learning what it was like to leave everything behind to head to the new world. They are also making connections to modern day immigrants and the struggles they face as they leave their homes.

Mark your calendar! Family Reading Night is December 5!

Flyers will be coming home this week detailing the Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser. The event is THIS FRIDAY from 3:00 to 9:00. Students may wear the sticker the night of the event for 10 free points! Hope to see you there!

Early Dismissal Day is this Wednesday, November 13th. School dismisses at 12:00 pm and bus riders will depart ONE at 12:15 pm.

Olympia North celebrates Veterans Day! Thank you to all our Veterans!

2nd grade Superheroes are back at it again! Today students reviewed multiple skills while completing a Superhero Quest to gain access to their super powers. They made connections, added with regrouping, created super similes, and so much more! Way to go Superheroes!

Fifth grade students, with the help of Mr. Mullins and Mrs. Boots, experienced a virtual field trip to explore zoo enclosures at the San Diego Zoo. This was after students worked as an engineering team to design and prepare a bid for building a zoo of their own.

The next Early Dismissal Day is Wednesday, November 13th. School dismisses at 12:00 pm and bus riders will depart at 12:15 pm.

O.N.E. Pumpkin Day stations and family volunteers helped kindergartners stay productive when Halloween coincided with the first snow fall of the year!

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No-it’s 2nd grade! Students have been working hard this week to develop super skills in 3 digit addition. They’ve also been learning how their reading connects to them and have been making connections like Spider-Man!

In Pre-K, we carved our pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns. The kids were able to vote on how we wanted our jack-o-lanterns to look! Ms. Lisa did the honors of cutting the pumpkin open and talking with the kids about what we would see and feel. Each child had a chance to come look at, feel and smell the inside of the pumpkin. Some were more interested than others. We love how different both pumpkins turned out! Great job, Pre-K!

Olympia 4th graders visited OMS today so that 8th grade students could explain electricity to them using materials from ISU's CeMaST program. Thank you Jake Steve for making this possible!

Today at Oly North Donna Waters and Pam Kilmer were given special aprons made by the students to celebrate National School Lunch Week. Thank you Pam and Donna!

Power has been restored to the high school. There will still be interruptions in services for the morning until everything can be brought back on line. We thank you for your continued patience, and will update you when everything is operating normally!

O.N.E. kindergartners have been learning about community helpers! Students drew a picture of a community helper and told how they help people. We used Chatterkids to make our projects come to life! Go to the link to see it in action!
