
This morning Kade Lollar broke the all-time record for 3 lift total with a combined weight of 1130 (Bench 325, clean 300, Squat 505). The previous record was held by now SIU football player Blaine Halley (1125). Huge accomplishment for Kade!

Big Win for JV bb beating the pretzels 🥨 13-3.solid pitching from B Tackett fanning 8&allowing 6 hits/2 bb.Defense played well,&bats were lively! 3 hits for R Wilson 3rbi's&3 hits for N Walker w/4 RBI's. B Rinkenberger, B Fairburn, M LaBelle, B Tackett all had 2 hits a piece.

Varsity baseball gets a big 1-0 win at Pontiac tonight. Hohulin and Gellner with a hit apiece. Dabney gets the win (5.1IP, 2H, 0ER, 7K's) out dueling Indiana recruit Brummel. Kindred (1.2IP, 3K's) gets the save. Spartans back on the road tomorrow at Riverton.

Girls Varsity Soccer takes one to the chin tonight at Athens, girls fall 8-0. Girls back in action Thursday night as they travel to Williamsville!

Today's Activities


The OHS boys' track team battled cool temps, strong winds, and fierce competition at the Monticello Invite on Friday night. The Spartans placed 6th out of 17 teams with 56 points. Senior Keagan Uphoff had a spectacular night, winning 3 events: high jump (6' 0"), 110 m hurdles (15.95), and 300 m hurdles (40.91). Junior Cohen Alexander also scored big, placing in all three of the dash races: 5th in the 100 (11.55), 5th in the 200 (23.65), and 4th in the 400 (season best 53.09). The following athletes had all-time best performances: Evan Petri in the 3200 run (11:37.30), Corbin Rios in the 100 m dash (12.64), Caden Clark (2:17.36) and Jacob Lawless (2:15.04) in the 800 m run, Cohen Ellis in the 400 m dash (1:04.73), Paul Yeary in the 1600 m run (5:45.48), Dylan Nowaskie in the high jump (5th place at 5' 10"), Cohen Maness in the shot put (38' 5"), and TJ Gellner in the triple jump (36' 0.5"). Season best efforts came from: Cooper Phillips in the 300 hurdles (6th place in 45.19), Logan Demling (5:18.27) and Jacob Lawless (5:18.85) in the 1600 m run, and Blake Youngren in the 200 m dash (25.21).





Varsity baseball falls at 3A #5 ranked East Peoria 8-5. Brammeier(2H, RBI), Koehler, Kleinschmidt, Kindred a hit a piece. Gellner and Olson both with a HR and 2RBI. Sophs Rinkenberger and Walker combine for 6IP, 6K's, 3ER. Spartans are on the road Monday at Pontiac.

JV Baseball game at Olympia vs. Dunlap today April 12th is cancelled due to wet field conditions.

Spartans win a nail bitter!! 2 goals in the last 10 minutes to push Girls Varsity Soccer past IVC last night for a 2-0 win! The freshmen stepped up for the girls last night. Ava Sizemore started the scoring with her first career goal! Elyse Eimer continued her scoring hot streak with the brace. Girls are back in action Monday night as they travel to Athens.


Varsity baseball gets a 15-5 conference win at home vs Illini Central. Gellner (2H), Elgin, Tackett, Hohulin, Brammeier, Olson and Kindred with a hit apiece. Gellner gets the win (5IP, 2ER). Spartans on the road tomorrow vs #5 ranked East Peoria.

Outstanding effort for JV baseball beating Havana 18-2. Defense &pitching was solid today. B Tackett went the distance on the mound allowing only 6 hits. B Tackett also led the hitting w/3 hits. N Walker,T Alexander, B Fairburn,&M Labelle all had 2 hits a piece. Great job today!


The varsity and JV Softball games scheduled for today April 11th at Rochester have been cancelled due to wet field conditions.
