Olympia High School Senior, Andrew Fishman, has organized a supply drive to help the homeless of McLean County and spread a little holiday cheer to those in need. His goal is to have enough supplies to create holiday bags for all those that stay in the Salvation Army warming center. The Salvation Army opens the warming center each winter to provide a place for anyone to go who doesn't have a warm place to stay. They has 33 beds but also has around 90 additional people who stay in the warming center at any one time. Andrew's goal is to be able to make holiday bags of supplies for all 120+ people who utilize the Salvation Army warming center. If you would like to help this worth cause, donations can be dropped off at the Olympia High School office until December 20th or brought to the first home basketball game on December 7th. The students are currently having a competition to see which advisory class can bring in the most supplies as well.
