It is nearing the end of the school year, and that means organizing the collection of our 1:1 devices (and chargers!). Please read the details below regarding your grade level to learn how the process will work for your child. This information was also sent out via a Skyward message and posted to Skyward student and family access "walls".
Important! For all students, fees will be determined and attached to Skyward based on the details found in our Olympia Student Device Information document. This document contains details on the possible fees that could accompany collection.
OHS
Seniors
- When: Wednesday, May 19th
- Where: Senior advisory class
If you need to turn in your device & charger before the 19th you may bring it to the OHS Media Center and turn it in to Mrs. Watkins.
Freshmen - Juniors
- When: Monday, May 24th (see details below)
- Where: Advisory class
Return Date Details: The first day of chromebook and charger collection for Freshmen - Juniors will take place on Monday, May 24th. A second round of collection will happen on Tuesday for those students who need to keep their device to finish class assessments. Finally, if you need to keep your device into to the last day of school, you may return it, along with your charger, directly to Mrs. Watkins in the OHS Media Center on Wednesday the 26th. If you need to turn in your device before the 24th for any reason you may bring it to the OHS Media Center and turn it in to Mrs. Watkins. Devices should be returned as soon as the final assessment of the year is taken.
Summer School: All students will return their devices and chargers. Summer school students will have a new device issued to them before they leave for the year.
Remote Students: Will return their devices on June 1st through the main OHS entryway. If a remote student is also a summer school student, they will have a newly updated device issued to them when they return their current device.
OMS
- When: Friday, May 21st
- Where: Advisory class
Return Date Details: During the following week (24th - 26th), students who did not turn in their device and charger on the 21st will be contacted and devices obtained.
Remote students: Will return their devices on June 1st through the main OMS entryway. If a remote student is also a summer school student, they will have a newly updated device issued to them when they return their current device.
Summer School: All students will return their devices and chargers. Summer school students will have a new device issued to them during the week of the 24th.
Elementary
Elementary principals will communicate their individual plans directly with you soon. Because devices do not go home with students, this will mainly revolve around how remote students should organize their device return.
