Kari Simpson is the Secretary for the 2020-2021 Olympia FFA Officer Team. Kari is the daughter of Mark and Michelle Simpson and is following in the footsteps of her older sister Kaylin who served as an Olympia FFA Officer in the previous two school years. Kari also has two younger brothers, Kyler and Kolin. She lives in rural McLean and is also involved in cheer, National Honor Society, Student Council, Freshman Mentor Program, and Yearbook at Olympia High School. Through FFA, Kari competes in the Public Speaking and Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Events (CDE), however, Public Speaking is her favorite. Kari explained that Mr. Hoffman pushed her to get involved in the Public Speaking CDE and that she is very thankful that he gave her the encouragement to compete in the event. Another FFA favorite of Kari’s is Ag Day, which is her overall favorite FFA activity. Kari stated that her best memory over the past three years in FFA was “watching Josie Litwiller sing Chandelier on the auditorium stage before the FFA banquet my freshman year”. Lastly, Kari’s favorite meal is tacos.
