Adam Swartzendruber is one of three Vice Presidents for the Olympia FFA Chapter this year. He is a junior at OHS from Minier and is the son of Scott and Angie Swartzendruber. Adam is involved in several other school activities including National Honor Society, baseball, football, and basketball. His favorite FFA Career Development Event (CDE) is the Agronomy CDE because of the challenges to learn all the different crops, weeds, insect pests, and machinery. Adam’s favorite FFA activity is grilling pork chops with his friends and fellow FFA members. His favorite meal is the traditional Thanksgiving dinner which includes: turkey, corn pudding, and mashed potatoes. Adam especially enjoys going to FFA cookouts or other social events. Adam is the FFA plot manager as well as one of the Olympia FFA Torchmate technicians. His other supervised agricultural experience (SAE) this past summer was working for Huffman Farm Supply. He helped pour concrete foundations and install grain bins. Adam has an excellent work ethic and is a role model for younger members. Finally, Adam’s advice for younger FFA members is: “try to do as many things as possible.”
