Sue Pyle has dedicated the last 17 years to helping the students of Olympia High School in a variety of ways. For many of those years, Sue has served in our START (or SAC) room and the behavioral classroom. This role often includes working with students who have displayed behaviors that got them excused from class, or students who are behind in credits and taking online recovery courses. When students are failing multiple classes, Sue is typically the one working directly with those students to salvage what credits they can out of the semester. Several students were able to graduate due to Sue's help. She has a natural ability to build relationships with students who struggle academically/emotionally/behaviorally. She will be impossible to replace for the kids she connected with.
