The heartwarming story of a year in the life of the March sisters as they grow up during the Civil War: the eldest, Meg (Grace Melick), who mothers the other girls; tomboy Jo, who longs to leave something that will outlive her; gentle and shy Beth, (Emma Kindred), who shares her mother’s (Esther Birkey) loving heart; and the youngest, Amy, (Rachel Spratt), who longs for more than she has. The play follows the first half of Louisa May Alcott’s famous novel and includes Jo’s scorched ballgown, Mr. March’s (Austin Meredith) illness, meeting Laurie (Zachary Manahan) and a staging of one of Jo’s delightful stories.
The play is directed by Wendy Wade. Kristopher Ketelsen serves as tech director, assisted by Heather Schwarting as costumer.
