The Olympia School District will have preschool screenings on May 5-7, 2021. Preschool screenings are available for children age three through five. This is a process to determine where children fall developmentally in areas such as motor skills, concepts, language, and behavior. Based on the results of the screening, a recommendation will be made to let you know if your child qualifies for the program. This screening is mandatory for children to qualify for the Pre-K program.
The screening schedule is as follows:
Olympia North Elementary – Wednesday, May 5th - Danvers Community Building (898 N West Street, Danvers IL)
Olympia West Elementary – Thursday, May 6th - Minier Christian Church (405 E. Stringtown Rd, Minier IL) *** This is a new location for our screenings
Olympia South Elementary – Friday, May 7th - Atlanta Christian Church (300 NE 3rd Street, Atlanta IL)
PLEASE NOTE: Your child must be 3 years old on or before the day of the screening.
If you are interested in having your child screened, please go to https://forms.gle/VrvcVQS7cVz2PgU17 and complete the Google form. An email will be sent afterwards with an appointment time and needed paperwork.
If you have any questions or issues with the form, please contact Ami Lawson at the District Office: ami.lawson@olympia.org, 309-379-6011 ext 1127. If for any reason, school is cancelled or there are gathering restrictions on a screening date, the DIAL preschool screenings will also be cancelled and a makeup session will be scheduled at a later date.
