Spring 2019 Pre-School Screenings
Screenings for the 2019-20 school year are available for children age three through five. This is a process to determine where children fall developmentally in areas such as motor skills, concepts, language, and behavior. Based on the results of the screening, a recommendation will be made to let you know if your child qualifies for a program. This screening is mandatory for children to qualify for the Pre-K program. Also due to new income verification guidelines, families must bring copies of two consecutive paystubs to the screening appointment.
The Pre-School program will be a tuition based program this year. Students that qualify for free or reduced fees will not be required to pay tuition. Additional information regarding the structure and cost of the program will be shared with families at the screenings.
The screening schedule is as follows:
Olympia South Elementary – May 7th and May 15th - Atlanta Christian Church
Olympia West Elementary – May 8th - St. John’s Church, Minier
Olympia North Elementary – May 10th - Danvers Community Building
PLEASE NOTE: Your child must be 3 years old on or before the day of the screening for screenings.
If Olympia schools are not in session on the day of the preschool screenings due to inclement weather or some other issues, the screenings will be rescheduled.
If you are interested in having your child screened, please contact your local elementary school to make an appointment.
