Sue Kirby, a local author from McLean, was invited to speak to the students at Olympia South Elementary School.
She gave 2 presentations on January 23rd. Her focus was offering the students ways to come up with ideas for their Young author stories. Mrs. Kirby will be back 3 times for writing workshops after school in the next few weeks. If your child would like to participate, they need to complete a permission slip and return it to their teacher.
The deadline for Young Author’s is February 13th. One winner will be selected from the district. Each student who wrote a story, will get to participate in the writing celebration in the Spring at the uptown Atlanta library.
