Thanks to the OFFE (Olympia Foundation for Education) Grant, Olympia North students have access to a new 3D Printer in the STEM lab! After completing a Geometry unit which included identifying and classifying shapes, 2nd graders began designing an animal out of 3D shapes. They used the 3D Building Software to create each shape and combine them together to create their new animal! Now they anxiously wait to hold the 3D print of their animal!
