Once again 8th grade students are using Sparkfun's "Inventors Kit" to build and program circuits using the Arduino programming language.
There are more than 10 circuits ranging from blinking lights in sequence to measuring distances to controlling motors. Students are given a diagram, circuit board, wires, usb, downloadable file and reference guide. From there, students replicate the diagram, connect the circuit board, run the program. Sometimes they need to write the program, add to the program or change the program. Then they observe the changes that were made and they record their results.
