The varsity baseball game scheduled for today March 22nd at Washington is cancelled.
The cancelled track practice for today, referred to in the previous post, is middle school track. Middle School track practice is cancelled for today.
The JV and Varsity Baseball games scheduled for today March 14th at Olympia vs. Brimfield have been cancelled due to field conditions.
The annual Mr. Spartan pageant is on as scheduled for tonight at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium. Come out and take part in this Olympia High School tradition.
Due to road conditions, the Olympia School District will be utilizing a remote learning day for Friday March 11th. Elementary students should work on their packets that were sent home and Middle School and High School students will be expected to check Google Classroom for instructions from their teachers.
A decision regarding activities will be made this afternoon. Coaches will be in contact with students and families.

Due to the impending forecast that includes ice in the early morning and
heavy snowfall tomorrow afternoon, Olympia students will be doing remote
learning tomorrow, Thursday, February 17th. Elementary students will work
on the materials that have been sent home by their teachers. Middle school
and high school students should login to Google classroom tomorrow to
complete their work and / or participate in meetings with their teachers.
We realize there may be minor fluctuations in the weather but at this
point it appears as if our morning commute and our afternoon commute would
both be negatively impacted by weather. We will make an announcement
tomorrow regarding Thursday after school activities / practices.
As a reminder, students DO NOT have school on Friday, February 18th due to
a Teacher Institute Day. Monday, February 21st is a school holiday as well.
We will see students back in our buildings on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Due to the winds, the continued drifting and blowing of snow, and extreme temperatures, Olympia will not be in session tomorrow. Friday, Feb. 4th will be a snow day for Olympia. The road commissioners in the area are reporting that roads are impassable and are drifting over after being plowed.
As a reminder, there will be no activities / practices tonight, Thursday, February 3. Coaches and sponsors will notify families tomorrow morning regarding plans for Friday afternoon / evening activities as well as plans for Saturday scheduled events.

Wednesday will be a remote learning day and Thursday will be a traditional snow day. Wednesday - elementary students should work on materials that have been prepared and sent home; middle and high school students should await information from teachers regarding assignments and online class meetings. Thursday is a traditional snow day, there will be no expectation of new / additional school work. This day will be added to the end of the school calendar. The last day of school will now be Tuesday May 24th, 2022 if no additional traditional snow days are utilized.
There will be no extra curricular activities or practices on Wednesday or Thursday, and all Olympia buildings will be closed.

What a great night for Spartan Girls Basketball on SENIOR NIGHT. JV with a double overtime victory over IVC followed by a commanding win for Varsity. The gym was LOUD. Props to Blue Crew and Pep Band for sending off the seniors the right way!!🤟🤟

Varsity Girls Basketball falls just short against Williamsville in the Illini Prairie/ Sangamo Conference Shootout 61-59. Taylor Nowaskie led the Spartans with 27 points.
JV Girls Basketball playing Eureka at the Central Catholic Tournament today at 10:30am. The Varsity Girls travel to Williamsville for the Illini Prairie/Sangamo Shootout, taking on Williamsville at 1:30pm.
Varsity Wrestling with a 52 to 21 win over GCMS/Fisher tonight to bring their season record to 22 and 8.
The OHS Speech Team competed at Glenwood High School this weekend. They placed 4th in team sweepstakes with 3 JV and 11 Varsity Finalists! They have one more regular season tournament before the IHSA Series in February!
