Nolan Yeary broke the school record this morning by Cleaning 325 for 1 rep. This is a huge amount of weight in 20 years of training athletes the 2nd most I have ever seen a high school age athlete do.

The Freshman Baseball game scheduled for today 3/18 has been cancelled. The JV & Varsity softball games vs. Clinton have been postponed until tomorrow 3/19 @ 4:30
The high school boys track team competed at the Gene Armer Invitational at U of I yesterday, where 50+ teams came from all over the state to form one of the most competitive indoor high school meets of the year. Top performers were:
Keagan Uphoff placed 5th in the 60 m hurdles at 8.81.
Season PRs:
Cooper Phillips (2:17.0), Jacob Lawless (2:19.0), and Logan Demling (2:14.9) in the 4x800 m relay.
Chase Ragar had a leap of 39' 4" in the triple jump.
All-time PRs:
Dylan Nowaskie cleared the high jump bar at 5' 6.5".
CJ Moore ran 2:13.51 in the 800 m run.
Nolen Yeary launched the shot put 49' 1", beating his previous best by nearly 2.5 feet!
This meet concluded our regular indoor season, and now we wait to find out if any of our athletes qualify for the Illinois Top Times meet at IWU’s Shirk Center next Saturday.

The high school boys track team competed at the Shirk Center last night in the Pontiac Invitational. Some of the most notable performances were:
Freshman Kaden Wilcox ran a 56.8 split in the 1600 m relay.
Sophomore Cohen Maness missed his all-time PR by 1 cm in his first competition of the season.

The Oly girls track time has fun competing in different events at the Lady Wildcat invitational Wednesday night. The girls did a great job competing and keeping a positive attitude. So many girls were stretched out of their comfort zone and they did great!
A huge shout out to Melissa Bieber for getting 4th in the 60m hurdles and bringing home a medal!
The varsity and JV baseball games scheduled for today March 14th at Olympia have been cancelled. The varsity and JV softball games scheduled for today March 14th at Olympia vs. Brimfield have been postponed to tomorrow March 15th.

The Olympia High School track teams competed this past Saturday at the U of I indoor track at the Rantoul Invite. Both teams came away with some exciting results, sparking dreams of many good things to come! Some of the top performances included:
Evan Petri- 12:00.31 in the 3200 m run (29 second all-time PR)
Keagan Uphoff- 5th place in the 60 m hurdles (tied his PR at 8.79 sec.)
Cohen Alexander, Blake Youngren, Corbin Rios, and Chase Ragar had a 2 second PR in the 4x200 m relay with a time of 1:40.48
Cohen Alexander, TJ Gellner, Keagan Uphoff, and Blake Youngren- 4th place in the 4x400 m relay with a time of 3:43.68
Great work guys, keep up the good work! Come see the guys compete at Wesleyan’s Shirk Center this Thursday, starting at 4:00!
Opening Day for baseball and softball.
It was a long day at the Armory in Champaign for the girls track team yesterday. The Rantoul invitational brought in some good competition. The girls team finished 13th out of 26 teams. Several girls shaved off time from our first meet. It's going to be a great season!
