Check out these OHS students diving into an activity to determine their Core Values! Our values orient, drive, and anchor us. Students were challenged to think about how their core values help them make decisions, connect with others, and expand their resilience.





Congratulations to the Olympia West 5th graders on their graduation from the D.A.R.E. program. A huge thank you to Chief Daryl Weseloh from the Minier Police Department on his work and dedication to the students’ learning.



5th grade band started this week for 35 Olympia elementary students. The kids are thrilled and so is Mr. Spencer! An exciting addition to our music program!


Dr. Jodlowski recognized Lorelei Ferrell at the Board Meeting for her design that was selected as the Course to Career Guide cover for the 2023-2024 publication. Congratulations Lorelei!


The Board of Education approved Mr. Jon Cox as the new OHS Principal beginning July 1, 203. Mr. Cox has served as a teacher and administrator in Illini Bluffs, Pekin 108, and Central School District 51 in Washington, Illinois. He is excited about coming to Olympia. As his schedule allows, he will be popping into events this spring at Olympia. Congratulations Mr. Cox!

The boys swimming meet scheduled for today Jan. 10th at Olympia has been cancelled. We will honor our boys' swimming alumni at our home swim meet on Thursday Jan. 12th at 4:15pm.

Today, January 9th, is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We wanted to take a moment to recognize and honor Olympia's School Resource Officer (SRO), Deputy Ben Zehr. Deputy Zehr joined us earlier this school year, and he has done a fantastic job connecting with students, staff, and families. He is an active presence during the school day, and at extracurricular activities. Thank you, Deputy Zehr!


Olympia South students were selected “Out of the Blue” for glow bingo! Mrs. Duggins and Mrs. Rogers set up a glow-in-the-dark bingo game with fun glow prizes! Students selected have all done a great job of following school-wide expectations!





Congratulations to Coach Courtney Hoffman on achieving her 100th career win as Olympia High School Girls Basketball Coach with a 48 to 44 win over East Peoria last night.
