
The OHS Contest Play cast was recognized at the April Board Meeting for winning their sectional competition and qualifying for State. Congratulations to these students and their coaches!


Congratulations to our FFA State Award Winner Reed Naughton! He was recently recognized at the Board Meeting for his accomplishments. Reed will also be recognized at the State FFA Convention this summer in Springfield.

Varsity baseball gets a 9-8 walk off win in extra innings vs New Berlin tonight. Kleinschmidt with 3 hits including the game winner, Kindred (2H, 2RBI), seven other players with a hit apiece. Alford (5IP, 8K's, 2ER), Gellner (1IP, 0ER), Dabney (2IP, 3K's) picks up the win.

Girls soccer wins big on the road! Spartans get back on track with a 4-0 win at Cornerstone Christian tonight! 2 goals a piece off the foot of Raquel Birky and Elyse Eimer. Girls back in action on Thursday as they travel to IVC with kickoff at 6:30!


5th Grade students and their families are invited to 6th Grade Orientation at Olympia Middle School on May 2nd! Check-in starts at 5:00 PM.

The high school track teams competed yesterday at the Metamora Invitational. Despite the cool breezy weather, the boys' team had some outstanding performances and captured 11 season and/or all-time PRs.
Sophomore Cohen Maness improved his all-time personal best by 10 feet, tossing the discus 85' 1". Season best performances included: Junior Chase Ragar took 4th place in the triple jump with a leap of 39' 5". Junior Cohen Alexander ran 11.56 in the 100 m dash. Senior Keagan Uphoff placed 6th in the 110 m hurdles in 16.10 seconds. Sophomore Evan Petri ran 11:44.17 in the 3200 m run. Sophomores Paul Yeary (58.9) & TJ Gellner (56.7) and Keagan Uphoff (50.5) all had PR 400 m split times. Each of the three sprint relay teams also set new season best times:
Blake Youngren, Cohen Alexander, Kadyn Wilcox, and Keagan Uphoff got 6th place in the 400 m relay in 45.44. Kaden Wilcox, Blake Youngren, Kaleb Jacobs, and Cohen Alexander ran 1:38.58 in the 800 m relay. Kaden Wilcox, Cohen Alexander, Kaleb Jacobs, and Keagan Uphoff got 6th place in the 1600 m relay in 3:38.33.










HS girls Track and Field


Varsity baseball gets a 10-0 win over Cornerstone at Ron Smith Field today. Dabney 2 hits 4 RBI, Hohulin 2 hits 2 RBI, Alford 2 hits, Olson 2 RBI, Kindred picks up the win and a combined shutout with Dabney and Gellner. Conference opener Monday vs New Berlin at home.

Congrats to Coach Smitty today what a great accomplishment!Also great job to JV baseball improving their record to 4-4 w/a run rule over Porta 16-5.Winning pitcher Walker-save Rinkenberger. Hitting stars Walker W/3, Wilson,Rinkenberger&Hemphill w/2 all having 2 RBI's as well.


Varsity baseball game vs Cornerstone has been pushed back to 1:00. Field Dedication will still be as planned at 10:00.

Congrats to our OMS Track athletes of the week, Wyatt Prince and Hailee Weeks! These two worked hard as usual but stepped it up a notch and stood out as leaders.


Saturday, April 6th at 10:00 a.m. we will recognize Coach Smith and officially name the baseball field after him. We will have a short ceremony at the field and then will move into the OMS cafe for an informal reception and opportunity to talk to Coach. We hope to see you there!

The first annual STEAM Olympics is being held at Illinois Wesleyan University this year. This is a wonderful opportunity for students with an interest in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics!

Students can sign up for one or more activities. IWU is not providing meals during the event. Food will be available on campus for purchase.
The activities are scheduled from 5 pm on Friday (4/19) through 7 pm on Saturday (4/20). The event culminates with a keynote address from IWU president at 5:30 pm.
