On Saturday, September 24th, members of Olympia High School Concert Choir attended an ILMEA workshop at Illinois Wesleyan University. These students had the opportunity to work with choral director, Dr. Ferguson. Students from many area high schools joined with choir members from IWU to refine their skills for the upcoming District and All-State ILMEA Chorus auditions. At the workshop, they went over the scales, triads, and other technical skills needed for the audition on October 10th. They also had the opportunity to work on two of the prepared audition pieces, working specifically with eurhythmics, harmony, and musicality. This was a great experience for our students. Good luck to those auditioning!
