Olympia North Kindergartners
enjoyed Apple Day! The day included tasting and graphing their favorite
color of apple. The kindergartners practiced counting and learned
about the concepts of more and less when they discussed the results of
the graph. The students also did an apple STEM project. They created a
raft using apple pieces and toothpicks. Students created a story
problem with apples in Johnny Appleseed’s basket. They also created
apple prints to make windsocks and made their own applesauce to enjoy
for a snack!
All of the kindergartners
loved Apple Day. Thanks to all of the parents who came in to help and
sent items to make Apple Day a success!
