Olympia to Offer
Pre School Screening for Children ages 0 to 5
Fall 2016 Pre-School Screenings
Screenings for the 2016-17 school year are available for children birth through age five. This is a process to determine where children fall developmentally in areas such as motor skills, concepts, language, and behavior. Based on the results of the screening, a recommendation will be made to let you know if your child qualifies for a program. This screening is mandatory for children to qualify for the Pre-K program.
The screening schedule is as follows:
Olympia South Elementary – August 19– Atlanta Christian Church
Olympia West Elementary – August 18- St. John’s Church, Minier
Olympia North Elementary – August 17 - Danvers Community Building
PLEASE NOTE: Your child must be 3 years old on or before the day of the screening for screenings in Atlanta and Minier. However, there will be afternoon screenings in Danvers for children age birth to 3 years old.
If you are interested in having your child screened, please contact your local elementary school to make an appointment.
Olympia North 309-963-4514
Olympia South 217-648-2302
Olympia West 309-392-2671
If for any reason, school is cancelled on a screening date. The DIAL screenings will also be cancelled and a makeup session will be scheduled at a later date.
