This is the image for the news article titled Olympia North Kindergarten had "Muffins with Mom!"Kindergarteners invited moms, or an aunt, grandma, or special friend, to come to school and see  all of the skills we have worked on this year. We started the event by mixing up a batch of muffins.  While they baked, students and moms rotated between four stations. At the reading station, students read a book they wrote called, "My Mom," they read from their book boxes and shared how they use the iPad program, Reading A to Z. Students created a picture for their guest at the writing station. They finished the sentence, if you give a mom a muffin, she'll want --- to go with it.  They also read the writing they have done throughout the year in kindergarten. Students played math games and displayed their addition, subtraction and counting skills at the math station.  At the fourth station, students and their guests played games. After they completed all stations, students and guests went to the cafeteria to enjoy muffins and drinks.
