The Olympia High School Spartans Wrestling Team won the 2015-2016 conference title by defeating Mahomet Seymour for the first time since the 2001 wrestling season.  This season the Spartans have posted a 27-1 dual meet record with tournament championships at Clinton and U-High.  The Spartans wrestlers have faced a tough schedule this season with wins over many very good programs.  The State 5th ranked Spartans wrestlers will travel to Heyworth for the Class 1A Regional Tournament on 02/06/16.  The IHSA Heyworth Regional will include other state ranked teams Leroy #8, GCMS #11, and Clinton #23.  Olympia will host the 2 day IHSA Sectional Tournament starting on 02/12/16. 

The Olympia Wrestlers have shown great teamwork throughout the season.  The Spartans wrestling lineup is well balanced in the weight classes with numerous experienced wrestlers.  Varsity wrestlers with over 10 wins include: Austin Weaver So. 106 (35-2), Keaton Fogler So. 220 (34-4), Triston Ballinger Sr. (31-10), Jake Short Jr. (30-9), Liam O’Rourke Sr. 152 (30-10), Wyatt Spaulding Sr. 182 (30-6), TJ Peters Sr. 285 (29-9), Bo Bauer Sr. 170 (28-5), Dawson Swindle Jr. 132 (28-14), Lane Litwiller Jr. 113 (25-7), Mason Moore Jr. 182 (16-9), Xian Graden So. 152 (13-9), and Chris Burch Fr. 120 (10-9).
