Olympia Middle School will present the play Peter Pan on Friday, February 5, at 4:00 PM; Saturday, February 6, at 7:00 PM; and Sunday, February 7, at 2:00 PM.  Tickets can be reserved by calling Wendy Wade at the middle school at (309) 379-5941, ext. 8330.

This superb adaptation captures all the magic and charm of J.M. Barrie’s timeless story.  Wendy Darling (Mariah Maris) loves to tell her brothers John (Neal Alford) and Michael (Bryant Mitchell) about the heroic adventures of Peter Pan (Zachary Manahan).  Then one night after Nana (Ellie Highsmith) has taken his shadow and Wendy has sewn it back on, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell (Rachel Spratt) whisk the children off to Neverland to be part of the adventures.  Wendy, John and Michael become friends with the Lost Boys and Princess Tiger Lily (Emma Kindred) and Wendy becomes everyone’s mother.  When the evil Captain Hook (Bea Harbaugh) captures Wendy and the Lost Boys, it’s up to Great Big Little Panther (Shay Shroers) and his tribe of Indians to help Peter save the day.

The play is directed by Wendy Wade, assisted by Bailey Stockhecke, Ellie Martin, Savannah King, and Jared Wade.  Heather Schwarting serves as production costumer, and tech is handled by Ron Wade and Rachel Bein.
