The Olympia District would like to show our appreciation for Olympia South Elementary Principal, Mrs. Stacey Rogers. Mrs. Rogers has been with the district for four and half years and prior to coming to Olympia she was an Assistant Principal in District 87 at Bloomington High School. Principal Rogers has created a warm, inviting learning environment for the students of Olympia South where they know what is expected, and can feel confident enough to share their academic growth. Mrs. Rogers has also worked diligently to create a friendly, supportive working environment for her staff where they are happy and able to put their best self forward to help all students achieve.
Mrs. Rogers also is a leader outside Olympia, where she is sought after to provide professional development at workshops. She also served as the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) Corn Belt Region President. This year, Mrs. Rogers serves as the State IPA Director from the Corn Belt where she provides leadership to Principals throughout Central Illinois.
Mrs. Rogers has received numerous awards throughout her educational career, most recently the IPA Distinguished Educator Award for Scholarship. The award also helps pay for professional development. She has also written and received several grants which have provided much needed technology, apps, and materials for the students in her building.
Mrs. Rogers makes a point to be involved with staff collaboration and is knowledgeable about what is happening in her building. We truly appreciate all that Mrs. Rogers does for the students, staff, and community of Olympia South Elementary!
