The Olympia District would like to show appreciation for Olympia High School Principal, Mr. Ed Jodlowski.  This is Mr. Jodlowski’s second year as Principal with the Olympia District; however, he is very familiar with the District as a life-long resident of Atlanta and Olympia High School Graduate.  After college, Ed started his career as an English teacher at Olympia High School.  Ed showed leadership as a teacher by serving as the Teacher’s Association President for several years.  Not only did Ed serve the District as a teacher and Association President, but also as a Speech and Drama coach.  Ed’s ability as a classroom teacher, along with his outstanding coaching which led to many State appearances, earned him a spot in the Olympia High School Hall of Fame.  In 2001, Ed left Olympia to pursue a career in Curriculum, Instruction, and Administration.   After a stint with ISU and Lincoln High School, Ed became a High School Principal for the Illini Central School District in Mason City and was later promoted to Director of Teaching and Learning.

Last year Principal Jodlowski returned to Olympia as our High School Principal.  Mr. Jodlowski has received numerous awards throughout his career, including being named Illinois Communications Theatre Association Edith Harrod Award Winner, but none more special than being named a Nationally Board Certified Teacher.  Principal Jodlowski is in the process of completing his Doctorate in Education, and it is expected that by next year, Mr. Jodlowski will be Dr. Jodlowski.

Principal Jodlowski still resides with his wife and children in Atlanta and his children have or will graduate from Olympia High School.  Principal Jodlowski is a strong advocate for 4-H, FFA, and the Agricultural community.  Principal Jodlowski’s passion for the Olympia District can be seen by all that he has already accomplished in his short time as OHS Principal.  Mr. Jodlowski brings enthusiasm and compassion to his position and portrays a great role model for the students of Olympia High School.  It is very obvious that the students and staff appreciate Mr. Jodlowski’s passion and outgoing personality.   He has made the main office and the entire school very inviting for students, staff, and parents.
