On Saturday, October 17th, 2015 all 3 state qualifying runners set new Personal Records at Maxwell Park in Normal.

Savanah Beavers (7th grader) ran 12:50 in her 2nd State meet race.  This was her first time breaking the 13 minute barrier!Savanah Beavers

She had a very consistent pace through both miles on the fast Parkside course.  She will be a runner to watch next year and at OHS.

She has the talent and potential to break Shelby Siltman's 2012 OMS XC School Record of 12:24.

Jon Neville (8th grader) ran 11:37 in his 1st State meet race.  Jon has had an excellent 3 years of running for OMS and has definitely earned all of his sucess through hard work, determination and positive thinking.  Jon plans on continuing to race hard & fast for OHS XCJon Neville.

Logan Wheeler (7th grader) ran 10:58 in his 1st State meet race.  This was his first time breaking the elusive 11 minute time goal!

He had his fastest first mile of the season and hung in for a strong finish to place 17th.  This earned him a medal and top 25 honors.

This is an unbelievable achievement in his first State meet appearance and a testament to his drive and motivation.

He has the ability and work ethic to break Connor Stine (2010) and Liam O'Rourke's (2011) OMS XC School Record of 10:47.Logan Wheeler

Coach Brigette Van Hook is extremely humbled to be a small part of these runners' achievements.  What a great way to end the 2015 season!

Please congratulate all 3 runners and their families!
